About Us
St John’s House is a local collaborative initiative, bringing together existing projects and partnering with local churches, charities and other faith groups. Based in the centre of Alum Rock, St John’s House will be running a range of community based activities, events and workshops. We also have rooms available to hire for events and meetings.
See below for more information or send us an email.
St John’s House has always been a place of regular daily prayer, and has a track record of authentic Christian outreach going back several decades.
In June 2016, the previous owners “The Community of St John the Divine” moved to a new house in Marston Green, and the St John’s House team moved in.
There have been a few essential changes to the buildings since June 2016, but in essence the building still serves a similar purpose. It comprises a number of meeting rooms (for hire) and offices, as well as residential accommodation and a small chapel.
There are a range of outdoor spaces including vegetable and fruit gardens and some attractive shrubbery and trees.
St John’s House continues to host the ‘Place of Welcome’ project every Wednesday (10:30-12:30pm) as well as several other newly established projects.
